Three teachers including a college principal in West Bengal’s North Dinajpur district said they were Tuesday assaulted for preventing an examinee – the wife of a Trinamool Congress leader – from copying during an exam. The leader denied his wife was cheating.
The incident happened in Meghnad Saha College in Itahar in the district, after the teachers confiscated the answer sheets of the examinee, the wife of a Trinamool Congress elected Zilla Parishad member from the area.

The student who was allegedly caught cheating is the wife of Trinamool leader and North Dinajpur Zilla Parishad member Gautam Pal.
The party came to power in the state with the slogan “Change”.
